when you spend your time surrounded by nasty people, who whine and stamp their feet and protest anything, be it good,bad or indifferent does it become par for the course? i spent the past two days in another office and my good gods the difference is incredible. this is like how i imagined offices to be. work that requires a few brain cells, people helping each other, learning new stuff. it's peaceful even with a current minor crisis. they are behind on their work and not allowed the staff needed to really keep up. but no one is bitching about it. they know they have the head count they are going to have to work with and get on with it. they work hard and get things done all the same. they take the time to give a rats ass about their customers. it makes me wonder where i stand in the ratio now. after years of rowdy office filled with retards, bastards, total back stabbing bitches, no-one caring a toss anymore about much of anything, have i become one of them? i hope not. the fact that i appriciate the change of scene gives me hope. that i will be sad to give it back after tomorrow means i can at least still tell the difference.

so i ask you - does being surrounded by assholes rub off eventually? do you run the risk of becoming one of them????
